Leslie

I likely should have made this disclaimer of a post at the start of my blog. This blog is utter randomness, this blog has no true sense of direction, and this blog is in every sense me.

In the beginning I had no idea what to write about when I originally started my blog; I thought my life isn't interesting and therefore, none of what I wrote about from personal life will be interesting. This is what I originally thought, however the more I thought about it, the better of ideas I got for my blog. I decided to just write about what comes to mind, no matter how dumb it may be, it was truly me. My blog isn't fancy, I couldn't figure out how to change certain things with the layout, add pictures to the headers of my posts, and all the other amazing things other people can do with theirs, my blog is just kind of an outlet for my creativity or for the most part the lack of it.

My posts are just random things that come to my mind that I go into with even more detail. I don't talk a lot about what actually happens to me on a daily basis or anything wonderfully exciting, because this is a nonfiction class. If I wrote about something that exciting that happened to me, that would be a lie and if I talked about what I did on a daily basis, it would be boring and would probably put the most ardent readers to sleep. With those obstacles in the way, I took another path, and wrote about myself as a person, what keeps me up at night, what I think of randomly, where my values truly lie. I don't talk about fun parties I've went to or amazing things I do, because that simply isn't me, that would be considered fiction.

Occasionally people wonder what I'm thinking about with my blank, expressionless face and my posts are likely the best way for them to know. This blog of mine is my greatest friend and translator, listening to what I have to say and conveying it to those who wish to listen. I think that this blog is a good way for people to know what I have to say, regardless if no one actually reads it. I post knowing that many won't read it, but if they do (which they are free to) this blog is a taste of how I see the world; this blog is a gateway to how I see the random little things in the world, regardless if its social interaction which I loathe and adore at the same time, types of foods I couldn't ever live without, or just random commentary that I would never expose to an audience (for fear of being made fun of misunderstood). I post these all knowing that those who click on this blog, know that they are getting a full view of my reality (,that they will likely skim through and write random comments that are partially relating to the post in order to get their credits).

Welcome to my blog, to the way I see the world through these splendid spectacles of mine.

  1. I have loved reading your blog comments, I really feel like it's let me get to know you better! I also had no plan or layout for my blog; everything I wrote down about were random things that popped in my head.

  2. I have only been to your blog a few times but I love what you have to say. Your posts are always well articulated and refreshing. I really liked your line "I don't talk about fun parties I've went to or amazing things I do, because that simply isn't me, that would be considered fiction." I think it's really good that you're sticking to what you really feel is your content and your truth. Nice post, and nice blog.

  4. I relate to this. When I first realized that I needed to write about myself in a blog I was so confused because I didn't think I would find anything interesting to write about.
